I cannot believe that all this time has gone by since my last post.  I am trying to decide whether to delete this blog or go for a total revamp.  Will make my decision in the next few weeks as we are renovating my craft/sewing area and making a built in sewing/work area/computer desk with storage under.  We built a cutting table in the fall that worked so well for my crafting season.  Back to work............

Is spring finally on its way?

I cannot believe it has been so long since I updated this blog. The time, even though snowy and cold, has flown by. The weather people are predicting warmer temps over the next 10 days.....sure hope this is a sign that spring will be here soon.

I hope that everyone will get out and enjoy the warmer temperatures and the sunshine tomorrow.

Will be back with an accounting of our trip to Lancaster and the Outer Banks of North Carolina soon.

Winter AGAIN?!?

I knew that the warm weather would not last but I had hoped that it would not get really cold for a few more days. It is 25 degrees here with wind gusts up to 40 mph. I went out to the post office and I am back in out of that cold wind.

Time to turn on the fireplace and read a good book.

I hope that everyone is safe and warm.

Friday

Its been quite a time since I wrote in my blog. I have been really busy with grandchildren, work, home projects and watching it SNOW!!

This is a winter like we used to have. I'll bet the younger people are really tired of hearing this said. But, believe it or not, and no, it was not because I was shorter then, this winter has had more snow than I have experienced since a child.

Thankfully, we live in a condo and the driveway is taken care of for us. The snow is piled so high that you cannot see my van when it is parked. Hopefully, the 40 degree weather that we are being promised next week will help to take some of the weight off the roofs. There have been several cave ins in the area. Not only homes but businesses and schools have had problems.

Sure hope that ground hog was right and spring is around the corner.

Stay safe and warm. Each day that goes by is one day closer to the warmer weather.

Tuesday Storm

After getting about 5 inches of snow, it is now freezing rain out there.  This sure is getting tiring.  Another storm coming in on Friday.

The only good these storms cause is keeping me in my basement doing the annual purge.  I am pretty much done the storage area and am beginning on the overlap of my crafting area. Tomorrow is work and then I will be back to the basement again.  I have found quite a few things that I didn't remember I had and a few that I wonder why I ever had that to begin with.  I will post pictures when I am done.

Stay warm and safe.

Waiting for the snow.....

I have been watching weather reports all day....seems like there is total agreement from all the tv stations that we are going to get quite a bit of snow.  I went grocery shopping today.  Mistake!!  The stores were super crowded and people stock up on some really strange things when a storm is coming.  Really.....does one need all that toilet paper???

My grandchildren are here for the duration of the storm.  They have already called off school for tomorrow....a great cause for celebration!!  You might think they hadn't had a vacation just a few short weeks ago.

I hope you are all prepared for the storm.  I will let you know just how much of the predicted 12-15 inches of snow we really get.

Take care and stay warm.

A Happy, Healthy and Safe New Year to All!

Its hard to believe that it is January 8th.  Seems like Thanksgiving was just yesterday.  The weeks have just flown by.  I hope that everyone enjoyed their holidays.  We had a wonderful holiday.  Family and friends, food, food and more food. (Did I mention that we had tons of food??) It was a totally busy but happy holiday for me and my family.

My sister from Oklahoma arrived the week before Christmas to spend the holidays with our family.  My sister from nearby and my brother from North Carolina arrived on Christmas Day in time for dinner.   My husband, Tim and I along with children Timothy, Stephanie, her husband Aaron, and grandsons, Justyn and Devon completed the celebration. It has been a long time since we had celebrated a holiday with so much of my family.

The day after Christmas we hosted a family get together at our home.  Relatives from afar, Maine, Connecticut and New York as well as many from nearby enjoyed each others company and, you guessed it, MORE food!!  I think we all ate enough to hibernate for the winter!!

2010 Craft Show Images

My 2010 craft show season was a huge success for me.  I had to cancel my last show because I ran very low on my inventory and did not have enough to set up my booth.  I will plan for more inventory for next year.
